Wrapping up our time by going to Menemsha

Trick or Treating on Martha's Vineyard

Martha's Vineyard is a very family friendly place -- I like to refer to it as a real "Mayberry" for all of you Andy Griffith fans.  In October the stores put out some characters as decorations.  You'll see from the characters below an example of their being family friendly. They had community activities in the afternoon for pumpkin carvng and children's events at the libraries and local horse farms.

Betty Crocker above - they made a person using all sorts of kitchen tools.  Very clever.

A bunch of grapes -- from Martha's VINEyard (although there is NO vineyard on the island :))

Hurricane Sandy

We went to run a few errands before it got too bad.  I loved the awning whipping around like a wave.

Our hurricane party began with a container of Pringles!

Cozed up with a book.
