Chesapeake City, MD

As we were walking around Chesapeake City on a crisp wintery day we passed the red berry bush pictured below and commented on how merciful God is to give us color in winter. Ron observed that the color red in winter should remind us of God's faithfulness to us! In our darkest (coldest days) God is faithful to bring forth life. After the flood he promised he would never destroy the world again and tells us in Genesis 8 that "summer and winter and day and night shall not cease." So while some of you might be struggling getting through winter, maybe look for the signs of "life" and be encouraged that God is faithful.

For as long as I can remember knowing Ron, he has taken me down to Chesapeake City for a walk through town. Inevitably, we would end up at the General Store, which we lovingly call "The Lollipop Store." Ron has taken each of his girls there for a lollipop since they were little. Of all the things in life, for which I can praise the Lord, one of the greatest is the love of my husband which I enjoy and the love he has for our three girls.

The sign above has always cracked me up. It's on the Delaware/Maryland line.
